Divine is from Revlon’s Evening Opulence Collection for Fall/Winter 2013. It’s a deep red with brown undertones. This color is perfect for fall! The formula was super smooth and two coats leveled out beautifully.
Revlon’s Ruby Ribbon is a medium burgundy that dries to a matte finish. The first coat went on streaky, but the next coat went on smoothly. I love the look of matte polishes, but they never seem to stay on very long. This polish looks great with a topcoat, it brings on a whole new look to it.
Today I will be showing you two pale beauties. One is Revlon’s Whimsical and the other is Deborah Lippmann’s Glitter in the Air. Both are sheer, light blue creams with tiny, small, and medium hexagonal glitter in blue and pink. Glitter in the Air is whiter than Whimsical. As far as the glitter, it seems like Whimsical has more in it. Since both are extremely sheer, I would suggest layering it over a light blue if you want it to appear like it does in the bottle.
In the picture below: Whimsical on the left and Glitter in the Air on the right. Both are two coats.
Revlon has never let me down…until now. Maybe it’s my bottle, but I found Blue Lagoon to be difficult to work with. It was streaky even after three coats. Each layer took too long to dry and didn’t level out. It’s such a pretty color and I loved the shimmer, but I just hated the formula.
